Bluebird is a boutique studio devoted to effective and creative communication through graphic design. This passion started at a very young age back in my hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. After receiving my bachelor's in a selective graphic design program at Indiana University, I went on to extend my education, graduating from The Creative Circus in Atlanta. I've gone on to work for companies in London, Chicago, North Carolina, Las Vegas and Portland, Maine.
In my career I have worked on a variety of projects from CD
packaging, logos, luxury coffee table books and high-end invitations. Such work can be found in several published
books including "1,000 More Greetings: Creative Correspondence
for All Occasions," "Design for Special Events," and "Letterhead
and Logo Design." Bluebird has also been featured in several magazines including Modern Bride and is being recognized around
the blogging world.
I have always been interested in communicating messages visually, but it was not until my own wedding that I became interested in specializing in invitations. My husband and I really wanted a unique invitation to represent such an important step in our lives. We mailed out shallow boxes, where upon opening, a tiny bluebird hung from a transparent thread amongst wildflowers. The bird's feet held our invitation, which was printed on a fabric scroll. Letterpress and wood enclosures completed the suite.
I continued as a graphic designer within design studios and advertising agencies for a few more years before launching my
own company, rightfully named Bluebird.
Bluebird lives in Portland, Maine but I work with clients all over the country. So, whether you need to announce, invite, promote, brand, thank, or greet, my goal is to make your message just as impactful and lasting as it is beautiful and unique.
